Triple Entendre was invited to facilitate a workshop on speculative futures hosted by Pioneer Works
What will Red Hook look like in the year 2100?
Rising ocean levels, combined with Red Hook's topography, promises a complete flooding of the neighborhood within the next few decades. While this will no doubt alter the mode of living in Red Hook, we're confident that even in the event of such drastic change, the neighborhood's character can be preserved and even expanded upon.
Through engaging with local residents, sparking conversations, and guiding participants to contributing their visions, we were left with a vibrant idea collage that depicted an imagined life in 2100 Red Hook.
This idea collage was later exhibited at Pioneer Works' Climate Futures lecture
We analyzed the participants' contributions in order to assemble a guidebook of Red Hook-inspired imagery for future work in the neighborhood.
